Amsterdam
I've been to Amsterdam twice, and I loved it both times.
Places I really liked:
Anne Frank House - I read the book when I was probably her age when she wrote it, and I remember it moved me so much. I had this picture in my mind of the building and the rooms where they slip and eat and where they lived through all that. Seeing it in person was a very overwhelming experience. If you read the book, I absolutely recommend you to go and visit. If you haven't read it yet, I recommend you even more, because there are stories that should never be forgotten.
Winkel 41 - Best Apple Pie until now!
Canal Cruise - Go for a boat ride through the canals. I did this the second time I was in Amsterdam with friends. You can rent a private boat and take drinks and food and spend a sunny afternoon just enjoying the views.
Heineken Experience - It’s not has good as the guinness storehouse, but I think it’s still fun and if you like beer, go ahead.
The Parks in Amsterdam - Amsterdam has many great parks, perfect for games, picnics and enjoying the sun.
Red Light District - We went to the Museum of Prostitution - Red Light Secrets, a museum with exhibits on the history of Amsterdam's sex-work industry.
Albert Cuyp Markt - A local market with cheese and all kinds of foooood (there are also other things there, clothes, furniture, etc.)
We also visited Zaanse Schans, a neighborhood in the Dutch town of Zaandam, near Amsterdam. Historic windmills and distinctive green wooden houses were relocated here to recreate the look of an 18th/19th-century village. The Zaans Museum has regional costumes, model windmills and interactive exhibits on chocolate making.
My face in this last picture is just precious.
