Tokyo (Second Round)
Back to Tokyo. The plan for the next few days was to visit Tsukiji Market, Harajuku, Akihabara electric town and go one day to Nikko.
Days 12, 13 and 14 - Tokyo and nikko
Places we went to eat in Tokyo this second time around:
Tsukiji Market;
Totti Candy Factory in Harajuku;
(This last picture was in a Cat Cafe and we just had to go to one. I think it was the most expensive thing we did in Japan in terms of value-for-money. Don’t get me wrong! I love cats and they were really friendly and fluffy (and I was missing my cat so much!), but because it was like 10€ or so for 10 minutes, it was expensive!)
Having two more days to spend in Tokyo means foooood, but also means checking all the spots you haven't seen yet.
Don't miss the Tsukiji Market and don't be afraid to eat new things! We ate great food there like grilled tuna and crab king. And it's a great place to buy beautiful Japanese plates and bowls.
In Harajuku Neighborhood don't forget to try the rainbow cotton candy (I'm a big fan of cotton candy!) and the ice cream with animal faces.
For dinner, we had a great suggestion from a friend who had been there recently and the name of the restaurant is Botejyu. The location is in Shinjuku subway and the food was unbelievably good. In Japan they have many good restaurants beneath the surface.
Another place we had to try was Katsu Midori. It's one of those typical sushi places that serve the food on a rotating conveyor belt, and the sushi is surprisingly good! The final bill is based on the number and type of plates of the consumed sushi. Don't be intimidated by the queue on this restaurant, it moves really fast, and within 20 minutes you're eating.
Robot Restaurant. I will not linger over this subject. Nop. I'm just going to say that it was the perfect way to say goodbye to Tokyo. And keep in mind this is not for everyone. Bye!
